T-Shirt & Jersey Design
There are many opportunities for clubs, businesses, schools and groups to design a T-shirt for an event or gathering. Active Graphics would look forward to designing your event T-shirt. This is the perfect opportunity to be creative. You can keep it simple with a company logo and event date in one ink, or go wild with custom graphics and lots of colors. There are many choices, but you must first look at your budget. If you plan on selling the T-shirts you can opt for a more complex design with multiple inks or full color. If you are giving the shirts away or offering them as part of an event application fee, you may choose to go with a 1 color shirt and 1 ink.![]()
Shirt style and Sizes
An important part of t-shirt production is to get a good estimate of sizes and styles that you will need. Your T-Shirt printer can help you estimate this. It is best to choose a screen printer and then make the design. The printer will help you estimate the cost based on the styles, sizes and ink colors you want. You'll be choosing between men's crew neck, tanks, and women's scoop, tanks and spaghetti strap tops. You will work with Active Graphics for the design and colors. Then, the printer and the designer will work together on the final press version.
Costs / Timeline
After you settle the sizes and quantities with the screen printer, you will make a payment for the shirts. Often, when there will be very large men and very small women or children, you will need to have the design created in 2 sizes. This will require additional costs. The graphic designer is paid for any time creating the design and time spent communicating with the screen printer about the design.
You should start planning your shirt at leat 6 weeks in advance. Give about 2 weeks for the design and ordering phase and about 2-3 weeks for the shirts to be delivered to the screen printer and printed.
Jerseys
Sports jerseys include a full color design on the entire shirt. These are usually printed on the mainland or overseas. They are more expensive shirts that are made of specialty fabrics that stretch or offer UV protection. Outdoor sports people often wear these. Designs are more complex and take more time to complete. You should give yourself a couple months from start to finish of this product.![]()
